August News

Thursday 28th July 2022

Out of the Blue have always aspired to connect our summer initiatives to our own and our collaborators’ all-year-round work. Our collaborators include organisations based in Out of the Blue studios who run workshops and classes with hundreds of people each week.

After the great success of last summer’s PALS summer scheme, Out of the Blueprint and our Drill Hall creative collaborators Strange Town Youth Theatre and All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre are once again running a week-long programme of free arts activities including aerial, drama and comic-making. PALS is a free programme of arts activities for 11-13 year olds at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall, daily between Monday 8th and Friday 12th August.

The Out of the Blue Drill Hall in August will also feature a range of classes, workshops and exhibitions. The Consequences. Art and Activism in the Nuclear Age exhibition and associated events showcases artists’ films, photography, sound art and poetry.

All supported by the much acclaimed Drill Hall cafe

Thank you for your support.

  • Donate

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
