Walking
The Drill Hall is located halfway along Dalmeny Street between Leith Walk and Easter Road.
Bicycles
Bikes can be locked up on the bicycle fences outside the double swing doors.
Trams and Buses
Trams
From Newhaven and from Airport via Edinburgh city centre to Balfour Street. Stop at end of Dalmeny Street (only minutes from the Drill Hall). Turn up and go service with trams from every 7 minutes. For timetables just take a look at the Edinburgh Trams website.
Buses
Lothian Buses operate on Leith Walk and Easter Road (either end of Dalmeny Street):
- Leith Walk: 7, 10, 11, 16, 26 and 49
- Easter Road: 1 and 35
Edinburgh Coach Lines operates the number 13 which serves Dalmeny Street.
Trains
The closest train station to the Drill Hall is Edinburgh Waverley with regular services throughout Scotland and beyond.
Car Parking
Parking at the Drill Hall
Paid parking via RingGo or machine operates in Dalmeny Street and other local streets. Free parking from 17.30 weekdays and all day weekends. We recommend checking the Edinburgh Council website for information about available parking bays.
Park and Ride
There are several park and rides operating across Edinburgh. These are connected to the bus or tram network.
Private Off-Street Parking
There are a number of private off-street car parks close to the Drill Hall. Most of these are within a 25 minute walk of the Drill Hall (shorter if combined with a tram journey):
- OMNI Centre (Greenside Row)
- St James Quarter (St James Crescent)
- Edinburgh Waverley Station (New Street)
- Holyrood Road (Holyrood Road).

The Drill Hall provides full access to:

- A disabled toilet, with extra wide door and pull cord alarm system
- G20 / Large Exhibition & Events Space
- G40 / Rehearsal Studio
- G36 / Cutting Room
- G8 / Music Room
- Ground floor studios in the new build
- First floor studios in the new build via the lift
