Deaf and Hearing Ensemble
In Residence 19th – 23rd August.
We are an ensemble of deaf and hearing performers and theatre makers, from all over the world, living across the UK. Many of us haven’t met yet.
Something exciting is just beginning. We are coming together to meet each other and tell each other stories, the ones we share and the ones we don’t.
We will be doing a week-long residency at Forest every day during the week of the 19th August.
Some things we are interested in exploring:
What role do words play in our society?
Have we chosen words and structured language to the detriment of a more genuine communication?
How can we communicate with each other and our audiences?
Can we make some kickass theatre together?
If you’d like to be involved in any way please let us know. It would be great to hear from you. We plan to have a showing of what we’ve found at Out of the Blue Drill Hall on Friday 23rd and we will be opening the doors to our rehearsals at various times throughout the week. Please keep an eye out for future announcements here.
If you want to get involved email or send us a video message at forest.residency@gmail.com
