The Out of the Blue Drill Hall embraces winter with a very busy and varied December programme. You are very welcome to join us for some seasonal spice. Our legendary Christmas Arts Market’s are enhanced by a chance to visit OOTB artists at work at the Open Studios event on the 7th and a not to be missed fusion with Bruncheon on the 14th.
As well as the regular Wiff Waff Wednesday (11th Dec), start the new year with a celebratory 1st January afternoon Wiff Waff special .
Tickets are selling fast for the Leith based Puppet Lab’s much acclaimed Frog Princess (9th, 10th and 11th), which promises to be a delight for the very young. If you prefer a harder edge to your art, Trainspotting (16th- 22nd) comes home to its roots.
On the visual art front, last chance to visit My Journey With Women’s Aid (until 5th) exhibition and witness the voices and stories of women, children and young people.
From 9th-13th photographer Ian Preece’s exhibition showcases a series of images taken across the Himalayas and Rajasthan.
The evening of Friday 13th sees a brand new initiative courtesy of The OOTB Drill Hall Cafe. Freeze Frame Film Club invite you to dinner and a showing of ‘The Shop Around the Corner’, a Christmas classic to relish with hot mulled wine, cider punch and mince pies.
The OOTB Drill Hall Cafe will be offering deliciously warming delights throughout the day and at all events. The cafe will be closed from 25th December, reopening on Monday 6th January (also open for Flea Market on 28th, and ne’er day Wiff Waff)
