LeithLate 2014

Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June 2014

LeithLate, Leith’s annual multi-arts event is back, returning to a variety of different venues up and down Leith Walk. This years event will run over two dates a feature a whopping 25 venues!

The Out of the Blue Drill Hall will be open from 7.30pm on Saturday 21st June to enable you to see our latest exhibition Exposed14, showcasing the work of Stevenson College Photography Students. Stick around for a game of ping-pong with an eclectic soundtrack from our in-house DJ and tasty diner style snacks and drinks from the Drill Hall cafe.

On Sunday 22nd June from 12pm – 5pm, LeithLate and Bruncheon join forces to bring you one musical extravaganza featuring the tremendous songs and voice of Daniel McGeever, the rowdy, bluesy and accomplished slide gee-tar work of Jack o’ Diamonds – and the headline performer will be none other than King Creosote of Fence Records. Also, seeing as it’s such a special occasion, our event’s curator, William Douglas, has booked himself to play a rare solo acoustic set too! More acts to be confirmed.
£3 suggested donation at door. All proceeds will go toward supporting LeithLate.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
