Elaine Wilson: an exploration of the crossover between fine and applied arts

Out of the Blue based artist and Masters student, Elaine Wilson (Culture and Creative Enterprise, QMU), is exploring the relationship between abstract painting and applied arts, as part of her final research project. Having previously completed a degree in Painting at Edinburgh College of Art (2000), Elaine is an experienced practitioner, and she is now looking to diversify her practice by crossing disciplines to create wearable and usable art objects. Works exhibited include paintings, drawings, and textile pieces, forming a cohesive body of work.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.
