I’m going over in a barrel. I’m leaving the cannon, hitting the ramp at 90mph and clearing ten double decker buses. This time, I’m going higher, further and faster. Tonight, I will attempt the impossible

Action Hero bring their legendary DIY stunt show Watch Me Fall back to Forest Fringe. Shown at Forest Fringe as a work-in-progress in 2008 and as a finished piece in 2011, Watch Me Fall has subsequently toured all over the world from PS122 in New York to Theatre De La Ville in Paris, from Shanghai Grand Theatre to a Satan’s Riders Motor Cycle Club House in Tasmania, and just about everywhere in between.  Not performed in the UK since 2012, Action Hero are thrilled to bring it back for Forest Fringe’s 10thanniversary.

“Very smart, brash and brutally absurd” **** The Guardian.

“An ecstatic atmosphere” The Metro

Gemma Paintin and James Stenhouse live in Bristol, UK, and create interdisciplinary performances together under the name Action Hero. Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
