As the sun begins to tantalisingly raise itself through the glass roof of the Out of the Blue Drill Hall’s atrium, we present a warming mix of creative offerings for February.
Regular Monday meetings of the Leith Conversation Cafe offer people of different cultures the chance to meet and chat over a cup of something warm.
Out of the Blue’s Heritage Lottery Fund supported Leith Moves project is growing and flourishing. The research group is informing the drama group and we are now launching ‘A Slice of Leith’- an upcoming opportunity to feed stories about the ingredients which contribute to making a Leither.
#artcore young artist in residence George Douglas’s exhibition Contents Insurance runs until 11th February. The exhibition showcases the RISO printing process of Out of the Blueprint – OOTB’s latest social enterprise.
February Freeze Frame screening ‘Once’ is a soulful valentine to music and friendship(17th). Book a place to enjoy the fantastic film, food and fellowship. Likewise, the February Bruncheon (11th) features a stellar line-up courtesy of special guest programmer Candythief who will also be hitting the stage.
Wiff Waff Wednesday (8th) also offers conviviality, food, drink, music and games of ping pong for all ages.
The monthly Out of the Blue Flea Market (28th Jan and 25th Feb) offers over 45 stalls full to bursting with clothes, jewellery, small furniture, music, books and bric-a-brac. Supported by the Out of the Blue Drill Hall Arts Cafe which offers a delicious range of home-style cooking, cakes and more.
