Ethical Jewellery Symposium

The Incorporation of Goldsmiths, in partnership with Drill Hall based Precious Metals Workshop, present a two-day programme of talks and workshops on 28th and 29th March. The Symposium is primarily directed at silversmiths and jewellers, who will learn about the impact of ethical making, how to adopt an ethical approach, and how to communicate the value of ethical making to buyers.
Day one of the Symposium will be free to attend and will include talks by:
- Greg Valerio, activist and jeweller
- Ute Decker, jeweller
- Dr Peter Oakley, researcher
- Jan shepherd, Flowers & Gold Supply Chain Manager
- Makers who have adopted an ethical approach including, Ian Nicholson, Karen Westland, Jen Cunningham, Alison Macleod and more.
Day two of the Symposium will cost £40 + VAT and will include practical workshops facilitated by expert speakers.
