Extra Helpings! A Celebration of food from around the world on International Women’s Day

Sunday 8th March 2020
12:00 - 4:00pm

Free Entry & Food – Everyone Welcome!

There is such a thing as a free lunch, at least Sunday 8th of March there is down at the Drill Hall as we cobble together recipes and ideas from around the city and around the world to create a community feast on International Women’s Day. We’ll be cooking together to make best use of food that might otherwise go to waste provided by Cyrenians FareShare and you are welcome to come and sample the results or get involved in one of our workshops that will run through the afternoon.

There are many organisations doing great things reducing food waste, growing and sharing skills – this event is the first of many that wants to showcase and celebrate what charities, community groups and individuals are doing. If you want to get involved or run a workshop or promote a project then please get in touch with Stephanie or Chris!

Join the Drill Hall Cafe & World Kitchen in Leith as we host a community get together celebrating local food from around the world!

Live Music: Fish to Fry & Nic Tate & the Sharks

Workshop times coming soon.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
