The Out of the Blue Dill Hall is home to over 150 studio artists and organisations. Many of the organisations based at the Drill Hall enable the participation of thousands of people each year, taking part in classes, workshops and projects.
The Drill Hall provides vital space for this activity in our four public spaces. The Main Space is large, bright and airy and over the years has hosted hundreds of events, exhibitions, meetings and performances, welcoming thousands of people. The Rehearsal Studio, Cutting Room and Music Room are likewise multi functional and conducive to a huge range of creative activity. All spaces can be booked by the hour.
The Out of the Blue Drill Hall cafe provides a delicious range of freshly prepared food and a social hub for visitors.
Another of Out of the Blue’s home grown enterprises, Out of the Blueprint, uses Risograph and Gocco printing to produce beautiful and unique artwork, posters, flyers, T-shirts, tote bags, mags, comics and zines. This environmentally friendly and affordable social enterprise provides education, training and employment opportunities whilst supporting many people’s creativity. Out of the Blueprint are fully open and happy to take your print orders. Additionally, in a busy February, they are providing a young person with a Kickstart marketing job, welcoming two young trainees and hosting an exhibition of work from their latest artist-in-residence, pushing the boundaries of risograph printing.
Thank you for your support.
