Over Blown Exhibition
Tuesday 1st - Saturday 12th August 2023
Monday - Saturday, 10:00am - 5:00pm, free entry
The Out Bound collective present their third successive summer exhibition ‘Over Blown’ here at the Drill Hall this August.
Over Blown will take over the Drill Hall springing from the worn wooden dance floor to the soaring glass roof. Encompassing multiple media, platforms and species, the exhibition showcases the work of several local artists and makers. Featuring work by:
Riona Bruce, Jessica Crisp, Dana Cruickshank, Abi Lewis, Alistair McClymont, Millie Player and Bethany Thompson.
More information on the featured artists can be found here.
To ‘Fly Out Bound’ is commonly defined as away from a particular place, especially on the first leg of a return journey. These artists ask ‘Where are we going?’ Hopefully not back where we came from.
We will be inflating and deflating the piece by Alistair McClymont each day from Thursday 3rd to Friday 11th August (except Sunday 6th) between 1pm and 2pm.
Exhibition Launch
The Out Bound team will be hosting an evening reception to launch the exhibition on Friday 4th August (6pm – 9pm). It’ll be an informal evening and a chance to meet the artists and makers involved, with live performances and installations from Elephant in Red, Susanna Mcguiness, DEEJAY YOURSELF and Alistair McClymont.
