What’s On This Month
This Summer, Out of the Blueprint‘s latest artist-in-residence Jack Stamp will be presenting a new exhibition and comic, Plasticine Cowboy. Using a mixture of modelling and riso printing Jack has created a character and story that draws from a time honoured tradition to quite literally come off the page. It’s on from Friday 2nd August to Saturday 28th September.
If you’re looking for some fun activities for the kids, All or Nothing are running their Edinburgh Youth & Junior Summer Camps. They’ll learn how to fly, flip, spin and hang on aerial cocoons and aerial hoops. The camp is on from Monday 5th to Friday 9th August.
Over at Abbeymount Studios, Out of the Blueprint are running their Goccomatic Inductions, where you can learn how to gocco print your own t-shirts, tote bags, and much more.
Another opportunity to get creative is with Drill Hall residents The Precious Metals Workshop, who have just released their autumn term of classes and workshops. It’s a great way to learn about making your own jewellery.
With over 40 stalls packed with pre-loved clothes, jewellery, books and other collectibles, there’s something for everyone at our August Flea Market. It’s on from 10am – 3pm on Saturday 31st August.
Whether you are visiting us for an event, or looking for a welcoming home-made refreshment in a relaxing environment, the Drill Hall Café will be open throughout the month with a great selection of teas, coffees, and Summer treats.
