Book Launch: Small Talk on The Walk

Thursday 2nd November 2023
7:00pm - 9:00pm, Free but donations welcome

An evening of stories, poems and songs to celebrate the launch of Small Talk on The Walk, a free book written, edited and printed in Leith.

Leith Writings is a small group of volunteers that have come together for the past three years to create an anthology of writing submitted by people who live in-or are connected to-Leith. The first edition The Darting Salamander (2021) was followed by The Seagull at The Shore (2022). Find out more here.

Come along to hear some of the authors of the stories and poems from this year’s edition, Small Talk on The Walk. The 2nd of November is also the anniversary of the amalgamation of Leith and Edinburgh. The cafe will be open and live tunes will be performed by Tom and Conrad.

Tickets are free, but limited.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
