Kids fun and practical textile course with Remode Collective

Learning basic sewing skills in a small group can be a fun and enriching experience for children, equipping them with practical knowledge and nurturing creativity that can last a lifetime.

Small group sizes enable Remode Collective to provide the utmost attention to your kids. Unlike larger classes, your child can easily approach the teacher for assistance at any moment, and they can closely monitor their progress.

Using a sewing box or sewing machine, children can create new items and learn to mend or alter existing ones, promoting sustainability and reducing garment waste. Instilling this mindset and philosophy in the next generation is essential.

The course begins by teaching kids how to make small repairs and basic alterations, progressing to designing and creating their own items.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
