December News

Thursday 3rd December 2020

Out of the Blue have made our lovely creative spaces available to enable people to meet, teach, learn, exhibit, rehearse and plan within the current restrictions. We can help you get through isolation and back to appropriately socially distanced activity. To view our spaces online and decide which space is right for your meeting or creative activity, visit our Book a Space page and make your enquiry.

Our airy and beautifully situated Drill Hall cafe is open for delicious food and drink and makes for a comfortable and reassuringly distanced but sociable experience! Monday to Saturday: 10am – 5pm (Closed 19th December – 4th January inclusive)

Following on from the success of November’s ‘Walk Don’t Walk’ exhibition, we are running a temporary Artists’ Expo & Sale of local handmade Arts and Crafts on Saturday 12th December. Book a time slot for your visit to the Makeshift Exhibition & Sale and enjoy delicious food, hot spiced drinks and traditional festive treats served in the cafe throughout the day.

We look forward to seeing you.

Thank you!

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
