February News
Thursday 26th January 2023
Many people have helped create and shape Out of the Blue. Many years ago a volunteer came forward to offer her services to help promote Out of the Blue. After some 13 years of working for OOTB, she is leaving to travel back to the other side of the world, and OOTB will now say our fond farewells and bon voyage to Meg, and recruit a Marketing and Communications Officer. We welcome applications for the post by 13th February.
One of Out of the Blue’s more recent initiations as a social enterprise is Out of the Blueprint. In February, Out of the Blueprint proudly presents UnProcessed, a new body of work created by Celeste John-Wood during her time as artist in residence. Using her interest in urban ecologies as a starting point for image making, Celeste gathered inspiration from commons and shared spaces, visualising links, knots, fences and connections. The exhibition runs from Friday 3rd February – Saturday 18th March.
As ever, a considerable number of classes, workshops, events, markets, and exhibitions make good use of space at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall. A great deal of this activity is supported by the much acclaimed Drill Hall cafe.
Thank you for your support.
