Care First ( Introduction to Care Sector ) Training Programme

5 week introduction to the Care Sector for those looking for work 

Eligibility:

If you are 16-24 or a parent with school aged children or younger, live in Edinburgh or the Lothians then you are eligible to apply.

How the programme works:

  • Social Care training programme
  • Starts Tuesday 2nd May 2023 
  • Tuesday to Thursday 10am – 2:30pm and Friday 10am – 12noon (5 weeks)
  • Training allowance of £44 per week if eligible

What is included in the programme:

  • SQA award
  • Food Hygiene Sessions
  • Care Stewards and Principles of Care Sessions
  • Interview Workshops
  • Employability Skills
  • Meet workers within the industry
  • Meet employers and explore opportunities in Care
  • Support through progression opportunities including college, employment and further training

    Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.
