Freeze Frame Film Club Presents – Muriel’s Wedding (1994)

Sunday 16th February 2025
6.00pm - 10.00pm, £8 - £22

Special Valentine’s weekend screening of Muriel’s Wedding and film inspired meal

For Valentine’s Freeze Frame are pleased to present the 1990’s iconic Australian comedy-drama Muriel’s Wedding. It’s not your traditional romantic comedy but a film that is funny and poignant in equal measure.

Muriel Heslop (Toni Collette in her first big screen role) dreams of leaving the small town she grew up in, her bullying father and shallow, backstabbing friends. An unexpected opportunity sees her taking advantage of her trusting mother and stealing the family savings – propelling her in the way of a new start, a new friendship and the wedding that she dreams will fix all her insecurities.

Muriel’s Wedding is a Valentine to friendship and a great film to enjoy on the big screen, with great Aussie themed food, popcorn and our unique cinema set-up.

Come along to the Drill Hall for this comedy classic with a celluloid inspired pre-show meal in the Drill Hall Cafe, or just come for the film and freshly popped corn.
