Out of the Blue have been a hot house of creativity since birth; born in a small shop in Edinburgh’s Old Town back in 1994 when to find creative space in Edinburgh was a massive challenge. Created by intrepid and determined young people, who having seen what was possible in the cities of mainland Europe, returned home to a commercially rich and creatively poor city.
Their dreams, supported by the principles and commitment of many, many people have now carried OOTB into our twentieth glorious year! Thousands of people now arrive at the OOTB Drill Hall for studios, classes, workshops, markets, projects, events, festivals and to visit the vibrant Cafe. OOTB will showcase our contribution to the culture of Edinburgh throughout the rest of 2014.

Saturday 17th May
Bongo Club performers head down to Leith for the day. Expect plenty of great live music plus a delicious brunch menu at the Drill Hall Arts Cafe. Come along and try some of our classes and workshops including aerial, music, circus skills and yoga/relaxation. Building tours will also offer a look behind the scenes throughout the day. - Arts Market
Saturday 3rd May
A chance to purchase unique gifts and support local artists. Over 45 local artists and makers will be selling their wares, from fashion and textiles, jewellery and ceramics to illustration and photography. Treat yourself to lunch or cakes and bakes at the Drill Hall Arts Cafe. The market is open from 11am – 5pm and entry to the market is 80p. - Out of the Blue is 20! Exhibition
Monday 12th – Friday 23rd May
An exhibition depicting many of the iconic images and artifacts of Out of the Blue and Bongo Club events over the last 20 years! More copy to go here. More copy to go here.
