Mic Foley! (New Sound Design Workshop from #artcore)
July 2016
10am - 4pm
Interested in sound? Want to learn about how it’s applied in Movies, Television, Videogames and Radio production? #artcore is hosting “Mic Foley!”, a FREE 3-day sound design workshop for ages 16-25.
The workshop is a fantastic way for sound designers and recordists of all skill levels to develop and learn new abilities, and you will even have your work featured in a production being released during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!
The workshop consists of:
3 days of sound design work, mixing technique, practical work and editing.
We will be focusing on recording ambiences, spot effects and special effects to be featured in an episode of the Strangetown Radio Play “Dead Ends”.
Everyone involved will receive a special guest credit on the featured episode. Participants will be in pairs and will create and record sounds together.
The workshop will be from 10am-4pm on the 6th, 7th July at Media Education, and 8th of July at South bridge Resource Centre.
Snacks, tea and biscuits will also be provided.
Limited spaces are available for this workshop, so if you’re interested please fill out the short application form found below and email it to Mark O’Neill, the Community Arts Coordinator for #artcore at mark.oneill@outoftheblue.org.uk by Monday 4th July.
