We embrace Autumn at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall with many classes getting into full swing in aerial, drama, and many other creative forms for participants of all ages.
Our cafe associated events programme dominates proceedings in October with the introduction of a new and not to be missed Mid Century Modern market opening on Sunday 1st. This new market offers style from mid 20th Century Bauhaus, through the plywood and plastic revolution of the ‘50s and ‘60s, to the kitsch and colourful designs of the ‘70s.
Rummage for treasures at the monthly Out of the Blue Flea Market (30th Sept & 28th Oct). Over 45 stalls full to bursting with clothes, jewellery, small furniture, music, books, bric-a-brac and so much more.
The Vintage Kilo Sale (21st) returns to the Out of the Blue Drill Hall with quality mixed vintage fashion and accessories.
Once you’re done with your bargain hunting, stop for lunch at the Drill Hall Arts Cafe which offers a delicious range of home-style cooking, cakes and more.
Out of the Blue’s Freeze Frame Film Club (7th) gives a small nod to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution – if only in name – we present Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) along with an option to sample the delights of the Drill Hall cafe with a delicious two course meal.
Out of the Blueprint is a risograph print studio based at the OOTB Drill Hall, offering affordable, eco-friendly printing and supporting young artists. Contact the studio for a guided tour to see what’s possible with this remarkably creative print process.
If music is your first love then Bruncheon (14th) offers a cracking line-up featuring Hot Tin Roof, Zoe Moskal and Candythief. Come along for top-notch live music, great food, and excellent company.
Wiff Waff Wednesday (11th) is a ping pong night for all ages with music, drink, conviviality and great food from the Drill Hall Arts Cafe team.
