OutBound
Monday 16th - Thursday 26th August 2021
Monday - Saturday 10am - 4pm, free entry
‘OutBound’ will inhabit the main hall of the Out of the Blue Drill Hall from the 16th to the 26th of August.
Opening with a celebration on Friday the 13th of August from 6pm-10pm with live performances from Swiss Portrait, DJ chOOn!! and resident tap dancing Gulls. Two bookable slots are available for the opening evening on Eventbrite.
OutBound will take over the Drill Hall, springing from well trodden wooden floorboards to soaring glass roof. Encompassing multiple media, platforms and species, this exhibition showcases the work of 10 Artists.
Abi Lewis, Bethany Thompson, Cristiana Messina, Emelia Beale, Emma Macleod, Jessica Crisp, Julia Barbour, Miriam Hancill, Natalie J Wood and Veronica Merlo.
To ‘Fly Out bound’ is commonly defined as away from a particular place, especially on the first leg of a return journey. These artists ask ‘Where are we going?’ Hopefully not back where we came from.
With many thanks to the kind support of Settlement Projects and Out of the Blue Arts and Education Trust.
