PALS Summer Scheme

Monday 8th – Friday 12th August 2022
1-5pm each day

PALS is a free week-long programme of arts activities for 11-13 year olds at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall, featuring:

Drawing and comics with Out of the Blueprint
Drama games and performance with Strange Town Youth Theatre
Aerial and circus skills with All or Nothing

PALS is a fun, friendly and safe environment for children in Leith to try new activities, meet new friends and ‘play and learn stuff’! Monday 8th August will be a taster day, with a chance to try out all the activities. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

This project is specifically aimed at young people in the Leith area, who moved to secondary school last year or are moving up to secondary school in August. Places will be offered to these children first, and any additional places will then be confirmed by Monday 18th July.

    Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

    We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
