Growing Old With You

Thu 18 & Fri 19 August, 8pm

Growing Old With You is a life-long performance project that slowly documents experiences of aging. GOWY started in 2011, as Jodie & Pete approached their 30thbirthdays. Jodie & Pete will create a new performance exploring how they age every 10 years for their rest of their lives. Over the course of a lifetime they hope to create a series of works in which they, the work and the audience all grow old together. The next performance is planned for 2021, when Jodie & Pete will celebrate their 40th birthdays, but they are revisiting the 2011 performance to help mark the 10th anniversary of Forest Fringe.

Dramaturg: Ben Francombe

Growing Old With You was been developed through support from Arts Council England, The Showroom (University of Chichester) and Ferment at the Bristol Old Vic. Research and Development with the support of BAC, South Hill Park, and Forest Fringe.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
