Take One Action Film Festival: Food for Thought

Saturday 22nd September 2018
3.30pm - 6pm

A feast of international food and film, celebrating hospitality, connection and solidarity.

Join Take One Action on the closing weekend of their 2018 festival for this inclusive community event.

A specially curated programme of short films will explore the feelings, memories, anxieties and aspirations at the heart of displacement and integration, particularly as experienced by asylum seekers and refugees. It will be followed by a shared meal cooked by the Refugee Community Kitchen, served in the Drill Hall café.

Take One Action look forward to welcoming families and individuals of all backgrounds to this event. To help provide free access, we ask those who can do so to “pay it forward:” a £20 ticket will cover all costs relating to both your attendance and someone else’s.

Screening as part of Take One Action Film Festival. See full programme at http://bit.ly/TOAFF18

  • Donate

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
