The Sick of the Fringe

The Sick of the Fringe

Monday 24th August 2015 – 10.30am

Commissioned by the Wellcome Trust and conceived by Brian Lobel, The Sick of the Fringe is a month-long programme of events aiming to inspire collaboration between science and the arts.

Forest Fringe is kicking off the last week of events by hosting the final Open Meeting. Join artists Ria Hartley, Laura Dannequin, Emma Frankland and Brigitte Aphrodite as they discuss how health, medicine and science are explored in their innovative work. Are you The Sick Of The Fringe? As part of the programme we are also searching for Opening Acts for two main events featuring Liz Carr and Professor Colin Blakemore, selected by our team of curators from artists presenting at the Fringe 2015. The outcome of our search will be announced following this The Sick Of The ‘Forest’ Fringe – Open Meeting.

  • Donate

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
