Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra – Deep Relaxation

Sunday 9th November 2014
4pm - 5.45pm, £15

Yin yoga is a wonderfully restorative practice considered to be beneficial in boosting immune health and balancing the nervous system. As we hold each posture for a little longer than normal, we learn to find our own edge and meet it with compassion. There’s no forcing, pushing or binding but simply being where we are. Physically the practice brings flexibility into the fascia, or connective tissue of the body, which has literally been holding us together since conception!

After this we will move into a deep Yoga Nidra relaxation. All that is required of you is to listen to my voice as I guide you safely and effortlessly into a state of total surrender. Yoga Nidra has been used for centuries to induce the relaxation response that brings immense benefits on a physical, mental and emotional level – perfect for this time of year. Expect to leave feeling calm, centered, rejuvenated and revived. At a time of year when the focus is on giving to others, take this time to give to yourself.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
