Holly combines mixed-media, hand-drawn and digital techniques to create animation, illustration and community artworks. She often works with charcoal, collage, painting, paper-cut puppetry, and experimental printmaking, to create highly textural, fantastical imagery. Since graduating with a BA in Animation from Edinburgh College of Art, she has worked as a freelancer on a range of projects, including films; music videos; advertising; projections for events and theatre; interactive artworks; and collaborative art. In 2021, she received funding from BFI and Screen Scotland through their ‘Sharp Shorts’ programme for ‘Living With It’ - an animated dark comedy about accepting disability. Her short films have screened and received awards at film festivals internationally. Holly also works in arts education as a workshop leader, tutor, and studio assistant. She has worked with all ages and experience levels, with a focus on welcoming, accessible and playful exploration of new creative skills.
