I studied Fashion Design, pattern making and draping in Paris, France in the mid-eighties. I started my first own brand while still studying, designing women’s collections and wedding dresses for a private clientele, and continued until the end of the nineties. In the meantime, I started travelling to India, to Hyderabad, to follow an internship in natural textile dyes and dyeing techniques, which marked the start of partnerships with local Indian artisans, and a particular liking for designing textiles prints. I experimented work with block printing, screen printing techniques, designed patterns for woven fabrics and embroideries. After a break to look after my daughter, I started a new brand, specialised in home and night wear, and bed linens, which I sold to various retailers around the world. I came to Scotland eight years ago and started designing Sewing Patterns for women’s clothes, for an expanding audience eager to make their own clothes.
