Rosanna is a printmaker and illustrator from Northern Ireland, currently based in Edinburgh. She works with linocut prints, sometimes just in one layer, or often creating multi-layered reduction prints. Storytelling is at the heart of her work, she creates narratives from imagined spaces, people and objects, often based on memories.
She is a self-taught printmaker, having studied History of Art at Edinburgh University, before discovering printmaking in 2020. She mainly works with lino, and occasionally screen and risograph printing. She particularly enjoys the tools and processes of linocut, and the sculptural nature of relief printing. Edward Bawden, Edward Gorey and Marjane Satrapi are some artists who she is influenced by.
Rosanna also runs workshops, from the studios at Abbeymount.
