Sparklewear is about all things stylish, sustainable and sparkly for cycling and beyond - such as funky handmade hi-vis vests and accessories - an alternative to the dull safety clothing of the construction industry. Born out of founder Isabel Lohss-O’Sullivan’s passion for cycling, textile design and upcycling, Sparklewear products are handmade locally, from screen printed fabrics using water-based inks, second-hand garments and added retro-reflective elements. For style conscious cyclists but also joggers, horse riders, dog walkers and really anyone who wants to stand out in the dark! For kids and adults alike, some pieces are one-offs, others more streamlined, although no item is completely the same. We take commissions and tailor made orders, and we sell online and at local markets and selected shops.
We also make accessories with our own fabric off-cuts and found materials, such as rucksack covers, badges, zip bags, textile keyrings and more. Always developing new ideas and and smaller product ranges with added shine and sparkle.
Sparklewear is based in Edinburgh and everything is made at Abbeymount Studios.
