Leith Moves

An Out of the Blue Heritage Lottery Funded education programme which investigated the historical significance of Leith docks.

About

Leith Moves was an Out of the Blue Heritage Lottery Funded education project from 2016 to 2017 investigating the historical significance of Leith docks. It followed the successful format of our Gretna 100 project, namely a participatory research project integrating with exhibition and theatre groups. The project included many events as opportunities which further involved the Leith community in exploring their history. The Ray Bird, Leith Moves film explores the history of Leith with some of the much loved Leithers of the day including the much loved and much missed Mary Moriarty. The film can be found here on our YouTube channel.
