Create your own perfectly fitting top & sleeve blocks in this full-day workshop. Join Abbeymount artist Jen Byrne for a fun and inclusive day of pattern drafting as she guides you through the process of creating your own top blocks based on your unique measurements which you can use to make endless variations of tops & blouses. You'll then make a toile to test the fit and transfer these adjustments to your patterns. From there you'll draft a sleeve block, and finally if time allows briefly look at design adaptations so that you can move the darts, add gathers, pleats or style lines for your desired design.
In this welcoming and supportive environment, you'll learn the fundamentals of pattern drafting, from taking accurate measurements to translating them into a custom top & sleeve pattern. Jen will be by your side every step of the way, offering personalised guidance and tips to ensure your patterns fit like a dream.
