Informal, creative, introduction to mosaic making with Abbeymount artist Helen Miles
For this Mosaic Introduction Day, you'll start with a short overview of the various methods, approaches and possibilities of mosaic making before focusing on the techniques including materials, cutting and the principles of the art. You then work on your own mosaic, either using your own design or choosing from a selection of pre-prepared templates.
We aim to grout the mosaics at the end of the day. However, if your mosaic needs time to dry, you will take home a small bag of grout and instructions to finish the mosaic at home.
Tea, coffee and wrapped biscuits are available throughout the day.
